Adobe Photoshop Elements 4 (Mac) ~ Crashing upon startup

Adobe Photoshop Elements 4 A few months ago I purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements 4. I purchased it online and got the instant download.

Photoshop Elements worked beautifully for the first few days but then it started crashing. I watched the start up screen carefully and noticed that Photoshop would crash right around the time it was loading preferences.

Hmm… The good news is I could easily fix this problem.

What was the problem? It was Opera! Photoshop Elements 4 is run on Opera.

The Fix

  1. Click on Finder
  2. Type the word “Opera”
  3. Look for Preferences Folder.
  4. Highlight & move the Preference Folder to Trash

Voila! Problem solved. I was editing photos in no time.

    In a few months I might look for this on eBay or something. It’s about time I look into a “new” piece of software to mess around with…lol

    You should check it out. I really love it but Aperture is still my favorite photo editing.
